On October 7-10, 2014 Maria Douka, Senior Policy Officer at the DG Research & Innovation, European Commission,delivered lectures at the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK).
At Columbia University in New York, a seminar on ‘The Political Economy of Russia’ was held jointly by the International Centre for the Study of Institutions and Development at the Higher School of Economics and the Harriman Institute at Columbia University.
Christian Welzel (a leading professor of LCSR) delivered a report on “Happiness in Russia, 1981-2012” at the Yegor Gaidar Foundation.
A joint meeting with representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Ministry of Education and Science was held at the Federal Agency for Scientific Organisations (FASO), designed to discuss adjustments to the list of priority S&T development areas and the list of critical technologies for the RF. Dr. Alexandr Sokolov, deputy director of the ISSEK and director of the HSE Foresight Centre, gave a progress report.
