Alfa-Bank Opens IT Space for Students at HSE Graduate School of Business
Alfa-Bank has opened the IT space, a coworking area for project and business communication among students, at the HSE Graduate School of Business. Visitors to Alfa Space can enjoy its trendy cafe, discuss fintech with experts from Alfa-Bank, prepare for seminars, and brainstorm.
‘HSE University is an outstanding Russian university. Many HSE graduates work at Alfa-Bank, and we are proud of that. Alfa-Bank actively supports fintech education in Russia, and cooperation with HSE University and the Graduate School of Business is an example of how synergy can be utilised to train sought-after tech personnel. I am sure that Alfa Space—where hundreds of bright ideas that could change the future of the financial industry will be generated—will only help in this development,’ says Vladimir Verkhoshinsky, CEO of Alfa-Bank.
‘The HSE Graduate School of Business successfully combines the best bachelor's and master's degree programmes in Russia with MBA programmes and corporate training for leaders of the domestic economy. The uniqueness of the GSB also lies in the large-scale involvement of leading Russian companies in the educational process and research projects. We are very grateful to Alfa-Bank for the initiative to create the company coworking area at the GSB campus and see an excellent opportunity to develop systematic cooperation with the largest universal private bank in Russia,’ says Valery Katkalo, Director of the HSE Graduate School of Business.
Alfa-Bank and HSE University had previously signed a bilateral agreement aimed at developing education in the field of fintech.
