How to Apply

The bachelor's programme «Cognitive Neurobiology» is implemented at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the HSE University

 The results of the Unified State Examination in the following subjects are required for admission:

1.    Biology (minimum 70 points)

2.    Mathematics (proficiency test) or Chemistry (minimum 70 points)

3.    Russian language (minimum 60 points)

 

In addition to the Unified State Examination, applicants can get extra points for a combination of individual achievements. A complete list is available on the Admissions Committee page

Some applicants are entitled to be admitted without undergoing entrance examinations completely or with significant benefits; more information on this possibility can be found in the admission rules.  

Special admission rights are granted to winners and awardees in the school Olympiads. The results of the Olympiads must be obtained in the 11th grade. 
Below is a complete list of Olympiads, successful participation in which grants applicants admission without entrance examinations or a maximum score in the respective subject.

Important: to qualify for these benefits, the result of the Unified State Examination in the relevant subject is required to be at least 75 points.

 Non-resident students are provided with dormitory accommodation, including for the duration of the admission test.

  

Requirements to international applicants

For foreign citizens: before you apply you should read the information and guidance on this page and on the international admissions page.

 Entrance tests and minimum points for applicants in a separate competition (foreigners):

1.    Biology: minimum 70 points (priority 1)

2.    Russian language: minimum 60 points (priority 2), a written test of 120 minutes

 
Foreign citizens and stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, can apply for budgetary (quota) places in a separate competition. Only foreign citizens without Russian citizenship can be admitted to the commercial places in a separate competition.
