o According to estimates, as of the beginning of 2021, children under 15 years old make up 17.7% of the population of Russia, elderly people 65 years and older - 15.8%
o In January-June 2021, the decline in the number of births slowed down, decreasing by 0.4% compared to the same period in 2020
o The total fertility rate in 2020 remained practically at the same level as in 2019 - 1.5 children per woman
o The number of marriages registered in January-June 2021 increased by 34%, divorces - by 39%
