Countries with high income are struggling with ever-increasing costs of public health , because high level &nbsp;of income contributes to greater consumption of medical services . The study identified the trends and prospects of private health care financing in Russia given the experience of foreign countries. health care financing system should be built on the principles of solidarity and equality . The solidarity level of participants varies greatly depending on the form of public participation in health care financing . The least solidary form of payment is a direct payment for services, which is widespread in Russia. The negative side of this system is an inequal division of funding between rich and poor, as well as between healthy and sick .
