Scale and Prospects of Mobile Banking Development in Russia

<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">This paper investigates scale and perspectives of mobile banking development in Russia. In order to fulfill the main goals of this investigation there have been given a whole overview of mobile banking in Russia and in the world. There also was conducted an analysis of mobile banking usage in Russia according to statistical reviews. Moreover, there were studied the main factors that impact decision making process of mobile banking adoption and the main barriers that influence mobile banking development in the world. Also, there were analyzed the main risks in mobile banking.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">In order to carry out and investigation there was conducted a survey among 105 young people in Russia. On the basis of this survey there was built a logit regression model with a few dummy variables which showed an interconnection between mobile banking adoption and the factors revealed in the literature review. There were analyzed two groups of factors: social and decision-making factors. Among social factors there were tested gender, age, working experience, education, among decision-making factors: ease of use, compatibility, convenience, absence of need of visiting the bank&#39;s branch office, speed on the transactions conduction, operations conduction verification, trust, need for personal interaction, self-eficacy, complexity of transition, low number of services, data leak, access to mobile banking operations at anytime and at anyplace.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Therefore, among significant factors there were revealed the following: ease of use, &nbsp;acess to mobile banking at anytime and at anyplace, &nbsp;ease of use, speed of the transactions conduction, low number of services, need for personal interaction, compatibility, gender.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">There was also revealed a portrait of an average mobile banking user and the main factors that influence the prospects of mobile banking usage in Russia.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p></span></p>
