The term of social entrepreneurship has emerged recently in Russia. First, so called, social initiatives were found only in the past five years. This activity, social entrepreneurship, presented in Russia before, but was not identified in Russia as social entrepreneurship, and foreign practice was not in notice. Thereby social entrepreneurs did not identified themselves with this term. Nowadays the process of self identification is of interest in investigation, because now social entrepreneurship is in the focus: different support programs and educational courses emerge and more social project develop. Despite that criteria of social entrepreneurship are formulated in different structures, in particular in application forms of funds of financial support and competitions, many projects identify themselves as social whether they satisfy these criteria or not. Thereby the question naturally arises: why these projects call themselves social.

In the following investigation will be considered following questions: how the entrepreneur constructs his image for himself and others and how social reality constructs around social entrepreneur. Which activities he undertake to call himself and to be called by others as social entrepreneur? And why others consider him as a social entrepreneur?
