Impact of the company's goals on the effectiveness of selection criteria of employees

<p style="text-align: justify;">There are several problems that do not allow a systematic solution of the HR recruiting processes problems. The main of them - is difficulty to create a system of well-checked, hard to copy, formal characteristics of the employees that will be correlated with the objectives of the company. Concerning this problem there is a need to find out :</p><p style="text-align: justify;">-&nbsp; &nbsp;how the company should formulate the list of characteristics needed for a potential employee to have a correlation for this characteristics with the strategic goals of the company;</p><p style="text-align: justify;">-&nbsp; what methods should facilitate the selection of high-quality personnel and effectively verifiable necessary characteristics.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The aim of this thesis is to identify the correlation between the strategic goals of the company and the methods needed to be used&nbsp; in the recruitment process.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Subject matter of the study: the international audit company Pwc.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Scope of the study: the influence of the strategic goals of the company on system of criteria for the selection of employees.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">To achieve this goal the following tasks were realized:</p><ol><li style="text-align: justify;">The study of the articles and scientific publications, with the help of which the main existing theoretical approaches in this area were described. During the implementation of this task were given the basic concepts studied the characteristics of the subject and the object of investigation. In this part the main definitions and the characteristics of the scope of the study were given.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">The strategic goals tree was conducted. On its basis, a system of criteria was developed for the evaluation of the candidate regarding their traits of character, skills and values. This list contained the following: knowledge of foreign languages, communication skills, loyalty, ability to study, diligence, high efficiency, global and integrated thinking, ability to adapt, the knowledge of the history of the company and its clients, professionalism.</li></ol><p style="text-align: justify;">Accuracy and completeness of the system composed of criteria has been verified through interviews with senior management</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Comparison of existing and required a system of criteria contributed to identify deficiencies in the staff selection system PwC:</p><ul><li style="text-align: justify;">resume processing slows down the selection process as a whole;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">imperfect technical basis exists in online &ndash; testing;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">asymmetry qualification recruiter and candidate leads to errors</li><li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;there low efficiency test criteria such as efficiency and adaptability.</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;The measures needed to reduce labor costs for the selection of employees, including:</p><ul><li style="text-align: justify;">implementing a system for monitoring summary view and processing &quot;pending&quot; candidates on stage online &ndash; testing;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">improving existing database online &ndash; testing;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">arranging express courses for staff recruitment;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;using techniques to assess performance and diligent candidate;</li><li style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;implementing special programs for adaptation of employees.</li></ul>
