The features of Genre of Sport Commentary on Russian and Foreign Websites and TV Channels

The theme of final qualifying work is "The features of Genre of Sport Commentary on Russian and Foreign Websites and TV Channels " Keywords: text broadcast, TV broadcast, commentary, multimedia, commentator`s image, artistic/linguistic expression The object of the research is media content: TV and text transmissions published on various internet resources. The subject of study is the structure of text and TV transmissions and schemes used by Russian and foreign commentators. The aim of the investigation is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the structure and schemes used by Russian and foreign commentators for text and TV transmissions. According to the hypothesis, nowadays text transmissions are more functional and convenient for consumers than television as modern technologies allow commentators to fill text transmissions with various visualization tools and to transform text into multimedia content. The work consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusions, bibliography and appendices. In the introduction the urgency of the chosen theme is indicated by the degree of elaboration, the goal, objectives and hypothesis of the study are formulated, the object and subject of study, theoretical and empirical methods, designated framework and empirical base of research are indicated, scientific novelty and significance of the research are formulated. The first chapter is devoted to the study of sports journalism in the print media, on radio, television and the Internet. The key stages of the sports genre and a commentor`s image development are revealed. In the second chapter a comparative analysis of the text and television transmissions of sport events and of features of commentary in different countries is conducted. Conclusion contains the main results and assumptions made on the basis of the investigated sources and analyzed transmissions.
