Project Management for Complex Product System Implementation at Different Life Cycle Stages

The paper considers project approach to the implementation of complex product systems (CoPS) – expensive, high-tech systems designed with a high level of uncertainty with respect to their architectures and constituent components. Detailed study of issues project success caused by poor drafting of CoPS-projects in conjunction with the high-tech products and their importance at the sectoral and national level. Basic research methods: a systematic and comparative analysis, synthesis, survey and analysis of the documents. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the formation of an integrated approach to assessing the success of CoPS-project in the context of its life cycle and the development of adaptive management mechanism of such projects based on Stage-Gate model. The study showed that in assessing the success of CoPS-projects it is important to consider its compliance with the company's strategy and the achievement of business goals. A special role in managing CoPS-projects is played by scheduling, customer involvement in the process and the technical component of the project. In general, the work shows the possibility of using the project monitoring techniques with a focus on success.
