Socio-Economic Factors of Abortions in Russia

This work is a small theoretical and practical study of factors affecting the abortion in modern Russia. In this paper we show that deprivation as a lack of access to social institutions is one of the main factors for the decision of a woman to have an abortion. Interestingly, the presence of other children becomes the most influential factor, while health, mental state and the status of relations with the partner does not play a big role.
