Compliance Analysis of Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility to the Regional Strategy of Social and Economic Development

The purpose of research is to assess the status and direction of CSR companies in the context of the strategic development of the region on an example of the Nizhniy Novgorod region. To achieve the above purpose it is necessary to achieve the following objectives: identify the key components of CSR; explore the features of formation of a strategic plan for development of the region on an example of the Nizhniy Novgorod region; identify the motives, the barriers, the implementation of best practices of CSR in the region; assess the level of CSR development in the Nizhniy Novgorod region; develop a model of cooperation in the region and on the implementation of the CSR business; analyze possible solutions to regional strategic objectives through the development of CSR. The object of the study are of CSR in companies carrying out their business activities on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Subject of research - corporate social responsibility as a factor in the strategic development of the region. The following hypothesis can be put forward as a prospective study results: 1) there are "barriers" that prevent companies to adhere to and promote CSR; 2) the majority of companies CSR is unstructured and unstable character, and does not seek to address global social issues; 3) charity - the most common form of manifestation of CSR in the company; 4) CSR in the regional context at an early stage of its development and has prospects for the future. Used methods: expert interviews, content analysis, analysis of documents.
