Strategy of Increasing Competitiveness of Military Health Institutions in the Market of Medical Services-Evidence from the P V Mandryka Central Military Clinical Hospital

The graduation qualification work was carried out for the purpose of re-search and substantiation of the strategy for improvement of the competitiveness of a military medical institution. The following tasks were set and consequentially addressed in the course of the research: to study the subject-matter of organization’s competitiveness and methods for assessing competitiveness; to assess the influence of competitiveness on the performance of the organization; to characterize the P.V. Mandryka CMCH; to reveal the sources of funding of MMI; to scrutinize the sources of competitive advantages of MMI; to probe variants of the competitiveness improvement strategy of the P.V.Mandryka CMCH(using leasing and outsourcing); to study ways to perfect mechanisms for price-setting on medical services, offered by the P.V.Mandryka CMCH. The following recommendations were made on the basis of the results of the graduation qualification work received: the improvement of competitiveness of a MMI is possible by applying up-to-date organizational and economic mechanisms, such as: the changing of its organizational legal form from government-funded to budget-funded; improvement of the functioning of military medical institutions: distribution of limits of funding with due account of improvements in military medical potential; improvement the effectiveness of using allocated financial and material and technical resources; the improvement of the effectiveness of the management system in general. Under the conditions of diversification of the sources of funding, the key directions for raising the competitiveness of the P.V. Mandryka CMCH are in use of leasing and outsourcing in the work of the military medical institution. The conclusions and recommendations made in the paper will allow taking a deeper and more systemic study of MMI’s functioning on the market of medical markets in future educational and research activities.
