Economic Effect Assessment of the Stocks Optimization at the Toyota Factory

The topic of the given diploma paper is stock optimization in a manufacturing enterprise as a factor of increase efficiency of the organization. Nowadays, inventory control has a large economic impact on the activities of any company. Identification of the optimal size of stocks contributes to the uninterrupted production and, consequently, economic losses reduction. Identification of surplus stocks releases "frozen" assets the company's invested in these resources. The purpose of the work is to develop optimization measures of local parts in the factory and determine the economic effect from the proposed measures in case of Toyota Motor company. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical bases of stock management in manufacturing companies. In the second chapter general description of Toyota Motor is provided as well as inventory management system is described. The third chapter, based on the theoretical material, is devoted to stock policy elaboration, as well as determination of the economic impact of the proposed measures. In conclusion, the results of research are summed up. Thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, list of references and applications. The volume of work is 72 pages. Diploma was written with a using of research papers, textbooks, monographs and articles. A total quantity is 37 sources.
