Faculty: Graduate School of Business

Educational Programme: Business Informatics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2016

The purpose of this graduate qualification work is to improve the efficiency of the transport industry, which is largely determined by the competent planning and processing large amounts of information of various kinds. When planning the current and future activities of the transport companies it is important to get all sorts of forecast information for full utilization of material and labor resources of the enterprise, and for prediction of managerial situations. Solution of the designated problems becomes possible with the introduction of modern means of automation of information technology. This paper discusses such functional blocks of the future of logistics information system, as a database, with the help of which you can implement an effective data collection and storage, and a mathematical model that allows monitoring the status of the vehicle fleet. Executed work consists of three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical foundations of the use of transport logistics in the field of public transport. The second chapter reflects the design of the logistics information system. In the third chapter, mathematical model of dynamics of average is offered, it will monitor and forecast the state of the transport fleet of a company, and also a variant of model's implementation in the software application is represented. Proposed by the work mathematical model can be used as a basis for management decision-making for heads of the transport companies. Taking as input the real data that can be stored in the database module, the software application will reflect the dynamics of the state of the vehicles. As a result of analysis of the graphs (states dynamics) management solutions will be presented and they will be offered to the leaders of the transport companies to be considered.
