Features of Creditworthiness Estimation of Russian Construction Firms

This graduation work is about actual topic of creditworthiness estimation of Russian companies in housing construction. The aim of this study is to develop a specific express-method for assessing companies creditworthiness of chosen industry. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that commercial banks use common creditworthiness estimation methodologies. An express-method, developed in this study, is designed exclusively for the analysis of Russian companies in housing construction. The first chapter is devoted to analysis of domestic and foreign economic literature in order to study the definition of credit, the principles of the credit risk, factors that affect it and ways to minimize it, the definition of creditworthiness. In the second chapter there is a complete analysis of the currently existing creditworthiness estimation methods used in Russian and in foreign practice. In the third chapter the necessary panel data is collected, selected financial coefficients are calculated, normative values for the industry are established, logit model is built. As a result, algorithm for estimating the creditworthiness of housing companies is described. Developed express method includes assigning the credit class for a company. Graduation work consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, list of references and applications. The volume of work is 85 pages. Textbooks, dissertations, articles were used in this work - 43 sources in general.
