Child Cultural Tourism Formation and Promotion (the Case of Saint-Petersburg)

From year to year the state and society pay more attention to the development of child tourism. This direction is associated with social and economic factors that have an impact on its structure and development. In Saint-Petersburg child cultural tourism is the most popular type of tourism. But this type of tourism is subjecting to seasonality: there are some problems in the development and implementation of products throughout the year. The analysis of the literature shows that researches in tourism don’t describe child cultural tourism, its formation and promotion. Because of this the author considers that the research about child cultural tourism on the market of Saint-Petersburg is actual. In connection with the above the aim of this work was to develop recommendations on the formation and promotion of children's cultural tourism on the basis of research practices of realization of tourist product for children in St. Petersburg. The object of the study are subjects of child cultural tourism in St. Petersburg. The object is the formation and promotion of child cultural tourism products. This dissertation consists of three parts. The first part describes the theoretical aspects of the formation and promotion of child tourism. The author examined in detail the children's cultural tourism, made its classification. In the second part of this research the author describe the study conducted on children's cultural tourism market. The products of this type of tourism were classified, We conducted a survey of workers of subjects of this sphere. In the third part there are recommendations on the formation and promotion of child cultural tourism in St. Petersburg , formed on the basis of the research of market in Saint-Petersburg.
