Personal Characteristics of the Manager as the Factor of Successful Implementation of Promotional Projects (the Case of a Branch "VBD Napitki")

Understanding of the role of a project manager in successful delivery of project has increased nowadays. That is why the aim of the Master's thesis is evaluation of personal characteristics of the manager as the factor of successful implementation of promotional projects. In theory part there are analysis of different approaches to competence and personal characteristics of project managers, study of approaches to evaluation of success of a project and literature review about relationship of personal characteristics and success of the project. In practice part there are analysis of specific of promotional projects. According to that analysis research model was developed. The model include such independent variable as result of implementation of promotional projects by particular manager of VBD Napitki. There are such dependent variable as personal characteristics of the project manager. Personal characteristics were evaluated with the following psychometric instruments: 16-pf test of Cattell, Maddi’s hardiness survey, McLain’s test of tolerance of ambiguity. Results of that model were supported with interview. List of important personal characteristics that influence on success of promo-projects was identified. Evaluation of these personal characteristics could be taken into consideration in the recruitment process and trainings of the given company.
