Olympic Infrastructure as a Factor for the Development of Tourism Industry (on the Example of Sochi City)

Hosting the Olympic Games contribute to the creation of a large number of sports facilities, transport, engineering and other types of service infrastructure as well as having a significant impact on the development of the tourism industry in the region due to the increase of the country's image on the world stage, to improve the quality of urban space, and tourism infrastructure. However, obtaining positive effects on the involvement of post-Olympic legacy infrastructure into the economy, including for the purpose of increasing the tourist attractiveness is provided only through the implementation of a correct policy on the use of objects and the formation of logical and harmonious development of its control system. The relevance of the study is vonditioned by Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. Formed on the basis of two clusters - the mountain and coastal infrastructure has a high potential for the development of the city as a year-round world-class resort. That is whyit is important to build Olympic infrastructure development management system for development of the tourism industry. The study of foreign experience post-Olympic development (on the example of Beijing and Barcelona citiies) has allowed to identify the main factors of development of the tourism industry in the post-Olympic period. As part of the study of the Sochi Olympic infrastructure social survey of tourists was carried out, which allowed to identify the problems of using the Olympic infrastructure. Based on international experience, as well as allowing for the development of post-Olympic Sochi recommendations for improving the management of development of Sochi Olympic infrastructure were given.
