Nowadays, mentors play a key role in the upbringing of company’s newcomers since the first experience and impression obtained by new employees highly depends on the way they are treated and trained at the very beginning of their career path in a company. That is why mentors’ style of teaching influences greatly the possible success or failure of their mentees. Thus, it is of utmost importance to train correctly those employees who further become mentors supervising newcomers. This paper is intended to estimate the effectiveness of mentors` training system within the company “LPU MG” with the use of several methods that identify the necessary mentoring competences, the development of which creates a skillful and effective mentor. This project will cover some of the Russian and foreign approaches towards the problem of training itself and the assessment of its effectiveness in the theoretical section. Following this, the analysis of a real company’s training system will be carried out in the empirical section, in accordance to which a part of the training programme will be developed in terms of the missing components detected in the original version of the company’s training system. The proposal includes four sections: introduction to the study, literature review, methodology and conclusion.
