Barriers of Using LMS by Professors

For a professor today LMS is no more than alternative activity along with writing articles, conducting research and developing educational materials. By distributing their free time, teachers will choose other activities as long as the perceived utility of LMS remains lower. Moreover, the use of the LMS is not stimulated financially HSE, so the professor selects other activities that are guaranteed to bring him a financial reward or academic success. This master's thesis aims to reveal the essence of LMS barriers of professors usage in HSE. In the first chapter LMS is regarded as a distance learning tool and educational and technical innovation. The second chapter is devoted to analytical detection of LMS usage professors' barriers in HSE. It provides the plan and stages of research, the characteristic activities HSE in relation to the development of the educational environment. The third chapter provides an assessment of existing barriers on the basis of the survey among 86 professors. In conclusion the results reached in the study and the main results are given. The annex contains guide an interview with the staff of the Centre of Educational Environment HSE, transcripts of interviews, questionnaire of professors' survey.
