Improving the Project Knowledge Management System in the Russian IT Company

This paper covers a problem of lack of management of knowledge of projects in the project-oriented organizations. The problem is that the companies which are engaged in project activity realize a huge number of projects, however knowledge which the companies gain, remain with project managers. The problem is actual because there is a rise of project-oriented organizations, but companies are not able to operate knowledge of projects also there is practically no literature on this subject. Object of research is the large project-oriented Russian IT company. An object of research is project knowledge management in the large project-oriented IT company. This paper finds types of knowledge of projects which are the most important for successful implementation of projects, and also the best methods of their collecting and exchanging are revealed. On the basis of the received results the control system of knowledge of projects which purpose is transformation of tacit knowledge in explicit knowledge and providing an exchange of this knowledge between project managers was offered.
