The Spread of Information Technologies on the Example of the Market of Internet Services: Valuation of Factors
This graduation work focuses on factors influencing the usage of Internet services in Russia. It provides the detailed description of the sources of statistical information about such services. Key items of the statistical observation methodology for Internet services market have been elaborated: its goals, objectives and program. In addition, the questionnaire for such observation has been designed. The importance of Internet services for the economy nowadays and in the future makes analysis of the dynamics and structure of the market relevant. This analysis is based on data of prepared by HSE the Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey (RLMS) and the Public Opinion Foundation. In addition, key trends and prospects of development in the segments "Advertising and marketing", "Infrastructure", "E-Commerce", "Electronic content" have been identified and exposed. The impact of various socio-economic factors on consumer choice of Internet services have been estimated using based on RLMS data statistical model.
