Improving the Management of Logistics Service in Company from Automobile Sector

The purpose of graduate qualification work (GQW) is to improve the management of logistics services in the automotive industry company. The objectives of the GQW are: to study the obtained information about the company, to determine its place in the market; to analyze the current situation of the company and to make a conclusion about the stage of its development; to identify key issues within the company, which influence the level of logistics services; to conduct an analysis of the literature in order to find problem-solving tools; to carry out an internal audit of the company to identify the reasons for the decrease in the level of logistics service in the company; to formulate proposals aimed at improving the level of logistics service and solutions found in the course of audit; and to assess the economic effects from proposed activities. The following issues have been identified during the analysis of logistics activities: the deterioration in the quality of logistics services provided by logistics intermediaries, the increase in amount of returns of products, and the lack of cross-functional coordination. The object of study is a manufacturing company. Scope of activity is the production of automotive spare parts. This GQW has come with the following recommendations: enter into an agreement on the level of logistics services with logistics intermediaries, streamline product returns and improve cross-functional coordination in the execution of the order by drawing up a communication matrix, create an incentives system for employees. The economic feasibility of the practical application of the proposed recommendations was proved. As a result, the ROE ratio in the model of strategic profit grew by 1.3 %.
