Religion serves as a vital integrating, coordinating, self-monitoring and behavioral mechanism which underlines the importance of both individual actions and conduct of society as a whole. In our paper we account for the best practices already used in economics of religion and come up with a totally innovative game-theoretical approach combined with the framework of spatial-location models. We introduce the “quality” of priests to explore interactions within religious hierarchy and account for incentives of a bishop and priests within a single eparchy. We derive implications in spatial-location framework regarding formation of demand for religious services. The entire model is designed under thorough analysis of the development of religious industry and ROC as its main representative in Russia.
