Special Features of Communication Processes in a Nonprofit Organisation

The topic of the present work refers to poorly studied field of research– internal communication in nonprofit organization. The main objective of this study is analyze communication process in a NPO under examination – Fund N – in terms of communication channels and problems, technology, types of communication, communication climate and communication satisfaction. Methods of research include quantitative methods such as focused interview and overt participant observation. One more method is survey based on Communication Climate Survey Instrument and Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire. Conclusions made by the author after analysis of qualitative data describe what is particular about communications in Fund N as in a nonprofit and in general. It has been found that communication satisfaction among employees is above average and communication climate can be characterized as positive. Results serve as the basis for implementable recommendations about improving communication within the organization.
