Politics of Memory in the Modern Russian School

In this paper we attempt to understand why despite the active policy of memory pursued by the government today's students demonstrate the little level of knowledge and interest in Russian history, in particular to its modern stage. To do this, by studying legal acts and qualitative content analysis independently conducted with history teachers interviews, the author has identified the specifics of teaching history in school as an aspect of the politics of memory in contemporary Russia.
