The Image of Sociology and Sociologists in the Publications of the Russian Experts 2014-2016

The theme of the thesis is "The image of the sociology and sociologists in the publications of russian experts in 2014-2016". The images created by the media influence people's conscious. In the modern world people don't trust sociology. To understand the reasons of this distrust such a paradigm should be studied. Nowadays the discussion of the status of the sociology and sociologists is holding within the research, public and political activity. Sociologists try to prove that they are not politicians. The sociological research "The image of the sociology and sociologists in the publications of russian experts in 2014-2016" is made for the discussion of the functioning of the sociology in our society. The purpose of the research is to make analysis of the image of the sociology in the sphere of media and within the expert's society on the basis of the published articles on this theme in different sources from 2014 to 2016. There were the following objectives of the research: clarification of the definition of media image, identification of the main problems, connected with the perception of the sociology and sociologists, making the research of texts and of the results of this research, making recomendations. The methodological basis of the study is the comparative analysis, content analysis. Making the analysis of the texts during the research, there were used two types of the content analysis. The content analysis of the semantic structure of the publications included the following: development of the codifier, encoding of the texts and frequency analysis. The content analysis by the key words included the determination of the key words, counting and analysis. The conclusion of the research is that the problems of the sociology are considered only in 7% of all the publications. The undermining of the sociologists' authority is the result of their responds on the charges in the publications and the struggle for trust.
