Master's thesis is devoted to the study of the market of distance education in Russia and the development of a project in this field. The urgency of this work is due to the rapid development of information technology, and, as a result, distance education in the world. At the same time, the favorable development of this sphere in Russia is hampered by the tendency connected with attempts to combine modern information technologies and traditional educational forms, as well as the discrepancy of many principles of the educational process with the modern level of educational technologies. In this regard, there is a need for a deep analysis of the market of distance education in Russia, as well as the search for and development of new methods of transferring knowledge using modern information and communication technologies, based on topical methodological, thematic and technological trends in Russia and in the world. In this regard, the goal of this work is the development of a project in the field of distance education with the introduction of IT technologies. Methodology of the study. The study was conducted in several stages: an analysis of the theoretical basis for determining the essence of the concept and the features of implementing distance education; Analysis of the Russian market of distance education, conducting a survey to identify the best IT solutions for the implementation of the distance education process, as well as identifying trends and prospects for the development of distance education. The final stage and result of this work is the development of a project in the field of distance education, which includes the development of a unique concept, the financial model of the project, as well as its marketing and promotion.
