Material Responsibility of an Employee to an Employer

The main purpose of the study is to research the legal nature of the institution of material responsibility of an employee to an employer, to define specific features of this institute, which separate the institution of material responsibility of the employee from other types of legal responsibility (first and foremost from civil liability), and systematize existing theoretical developments and judicial practice. Graduation qualification work consists of an introduction, four chapters, conclusion and a bibliographic list. In the first chapter, the definition of the concept of material responsibility of an employee is given; moreover the distinctive features of this institution are also highlighted. The second chapter is devoted to circumstances that exclude the employee's financial responsibility. In the third chapter, the limits of material responsibility of an employee are examined, limited and full liability is considered. The fourth chapter is devoted to determining the amount of material responsibility of the employee. During the development of the graduation qualification work, normative legal acts and scientific research were analyzed and used. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the current judicial practice concerning the institution of material liability of an employee.
