Analysis of the Application Blockchain Technology in Order to Ensure the Safety of Bank Operations

The paper is dedicated to analysis of the application blockchain technology in order to ensure the safety of bank operations. The target of analysis is estimating the degree of safety that blockchain can ensure. And also make a comparison with level of safety which is guaranteed by current technologies. Also there are three tasks. Explore blockchain definition, examine current role and conditions of blockchain in banking sphere and considering expediency of blockchain integration to the banking. The paper consists of two parts. There is introduction into blockchain and exploring this term in the first chapter. Also considering the work technique of blockchain, studying co-terms such as smart contracts, proof-of-work, proof-of-stake, hybrid etc. And considering actual problems which are related to the security of blockchain. According to the federal law of Russian Federation about banks and bank operations, there are designations of restrictions of activities, which can be named as banks operation. Later there is designation the list of sources and types of dangers, which can commit unauthorized interruption in the process of bank operations. After there is the exploration, which based on the analysis of sources of literature and rule of thumb, how blockchain can change and improve the level of security of bank operations. In conclusion, in virtue of generally accepted modern standards for determination of the level of information systems security, there is a comparison between blockchain and current mechanisms for the implementation of bank operations. In during of exploration, all of three aforementioned tasks are completed. The main result of the analysis is that blockchain can guarantee key competitive advantages in the security sphere in comparison with current driving methods of bank operations.
