E.N. Katargin Features of Settlement of Labour Disputes in the Field of Sports The aim of the research is to study and analyze domestic and foreign legislation on labor disputes in the field of sports, doctrinal research of Russian and foreign scientists, and the practice of resolving such conflicts for form a general picture of the situation of the industry. The basis of the research is a number of the following objectives: (a) study and analysis of legislation in Russia and abroad, as well as doctrinal sources; (b) analysis of historical development of conflicts arising in the sports environment; (c) the formulation of the concept of labor dispute in the sphere of sports; (d) consideration and analysis of existing forms of dispute resolution in domestic and foreign practice, as well as in legislation. On the basis of the research, the following conclusions were drawn: Firstly, for labor disputes in the field of sport is characterized by the specificity both of sporting activities (increased loads, permanent relocations, etc.) and the it's regulating law (most of them are the acts and regulations of the sports leagues and federations).; Secondly, the specifics of such disputes stipulate the specificity of the forms of their resolution, among which sports arbitration and mediation are singled out; Thirdly, these forms have a high level of distribution abroad, but they have not yet been widely used in domestic practice, which can be determined by the novelty of these forms; Fourthly, the domestic legislator is on the way of introducing such alternative forms of dispute resolution both in legislation and law enforcement practice.
