The Problem of Control over the Television Audience Measurement System: a Comparative Analysis of the Experience of the UK, Canada and Russia

The work is devoted to the study of control over the television audience measurement system in the UK, Canada and Russia. The types of organizational control structures are considered. Based on the results of the expert interview, the roles of Roskomnadzor, the Industrial Committee for Telemetry and the Data Users' Group in monitoring the TV audience measurement system were identified. The author compares the experience of control over the television audience measurement system in the UK, Canada and Russia. Based on the results of expert interviews and comparative analysis, the author offers recommendations for improving control over the television audience measurement system in Russia.
