Culturally-specific Aspects of ICT Implementation and Use in Educational Practices

In the modern world various types of electronic learning are actively used, however, only few platforms are able to adapt the supply of educational material and organization of the educational environment in accordance with the individual characteristics of the student, which entails difficulties and less effective educational process than it could be with assimilation of individual information. In the context of globalization there is the development of educational platforms in the direction of individualization and adaptation to the needs of individual cultural groups. It makes the learning process easier, more interesting and less time-consuming that attracts more listeners and increase the level of education, tolerance and erudition in the world. The aim of this paper is to identify ways of educational platforms e-learning needs adapting and cultural peculiarities of every individual. To achieve the goal identified the following objectives: 1) to explore existing systems the adaptation of the platforms of e-learning; 2) to explore culturally-specific characteristics of different cultural groups; 3) to evaluate the use of adaptive systems in practices; 4) to show possible ways of development of the cultural adaptation of electronic education platforms. Working on the paper the different systems and concepts of e-learning have been studied, such as network universities, MOOKs, blended learning, and the system of cultural adaptation of educational content platform CAWAS were learnt, and developing and the prospects and complexities of implementing polycultural educational environment using machine learning were described. This paper can serve as a theoretical base for further research in this area, in particular for the development of multicultural educational platforms.
