Ethnographic Fieldwork in Education Thru the Lens of Complexity Theory

Today the ethnographic approach is actively used in the field of the educational studies. Nevertheless, the organization and the conduct of such studies in the modern Russian context has several features. In this paper we analyze ethnographic work based on the research "From the Junior Schoolchild to the Adolescent", which was carried out in two Moscow schools. Also, in the work is raised the issue of overcoming emerging problems of educational ethnography. The answer to this may lie in the complexity theory - a popular scientific concept which is used in the process of work with complexity systems, which include ethnography.
