In this project a database audit subsystem for maintenance support information system is developed. The goal of this work is to develop an optimal solution for monitoring data changes in the database initial tables, as well as to review the existing methods of tracking changes in the database and logging them. In the course of the work approaches to database auditing using triggers and transaction log were considered. Comparing their advantages and disadvantages, an approach to tracking changes using triggers was chosen to design the audit subsystem. As an audit trail it was decided to use additional tables. As a result of the work, an audit subsystem, implemented using such DBMS as Microsoft SQL Server, was developed, as well as an interface for working with this subsystem and administer it, created with such development environment as Delphi. This audit subsystem was developed for a specific maintenance support information system, however, it also can be used in external information systems containing databases designed using Microsoft SQL Server. The volume of this work is 77 pages including 17 pictures and 2 tables. The number of sources of literature used in the work is 15.
