The theme of "Project Management" is far from new. And on the topic "Management of IT projects" there is a lot of literature, articles. But in this paper I will discuss the topic of IT project management, the choice of methodology and the experience of applying one of the most popular methodology on the project. Small firms, as a rule, do not experience significant difficulties in implementing methods of flexible development. This is not a very difficult task. Most difficulties arise at the level of large organizations. But many organizations in the development of an IT product indiscriminately choose the most popular methodology for project management - Scrum. But there is no popular, universal, correct model. Especially if we talk about a large universal bank. Some companies choose a flexible methodology and successfully implement projects. And some companies with a complex structure, with special interactions between units, will approach a hybrid model. Hybrid can be made, considering all the features of software development in a certain area. This problem was chosen, because large teams often choose the methodology of managing projects "in a blind", not considering all the criteria, strengths and weaknesses. In the IT project in the banking sector, the choice of methodology based on the principle "now it is fashionable" is very common.
