The study of the influence of network delay arising in typical automatic control systems containing a network component is the subject of research in this final qualification work. The purpose of the work is to analyze the causes of the occurrence of variable network lag, as well as its compensation in typical regulators. To achieve this goal, the reasons for the appearance of a time delay in networks have been studied, the algorithm for active queue management with probabilistic early detection of delay AQM RED is considered in detail, since it is the most common. Also, using a system of differential equations describing the dynamics of the queues of the router and the lag, simulation of the variable network delay was performed. Transient characteristics of automatic control systems for various delay parameters are considered. The main methods for compensation of lag are analyzed. The simulation of ACS transient processes with delay compensation using the built-in model of controlled object and delay was performed. The results of the work show that, in the design of automatic control systems, it is necessary to take into account the variable network lag, to improve the quality of regulation and for the system to operate as a whole.
