Strategies for Representation of the Civil War in the Soviet Cinema of the 1960s-1970s

The paper studies the strategies for representation of the Сivil war in the Soviet cinema of the 1960s- 1970s. It proves that in this period historical-revolutionary cinema becomes a field for the search for new genre forms and experiment due to its ideologically significant theme. The research conducts not only theoretical research of cinema but also practical. The laws of the genre of the Eastern are revealed as a mass cinematography. It is shown what Soviet cinema borrowed from a genre of Western, and what new elements it created. Auteur cinema also addresses to the theme of the Civil war and reproduces it with the experimental means of cinematography.
