The Acceptance of a Strategic Decision to Change the Distribution Channel for the Organization Systems of Protection +
The present study is aimed at studying the process of making strategic decisions in the organization. Strategic decision-making is a complex process that affects the entire activity of the organization, and that is why such solutions need to be given special attention. The paper considers the concept of a strategic decision, its main characteristics and development stages. The practical part of the study examines a strategic decision to change the distribution channel in a particular Russian company, which did not conduct all stages of the decision-making, and therefore had problems during the implementation of decision. A developed decision-making mechanism was offered to the company, as well as recommendations on how the competent execution of all stages of development and acceptance of a strategic decision would help to avoid the mistakes, those was made. Lack of competent strategic decision-making is a big problem for Russian business nowadays, that is why, companies need to develop the ability to planning and analyzing strategically their activities.
