Transformation of the Living Space: From an Apartment House to "Kommunalka"

The present research paper is aimed to examine the living space of an apartment house of the last decades of the XIX - the first decades of the XX centuries as well as the living space of the communal apartment in the 1920s. The hypothesis aimed to be proved is that the change within the living space had occured in terms of 'transformation' of a living space.
