Strategies of Professionalization in the Poetry of Vera Polozkova

Purpose of my graduate work is to identify what strategies of professionalization Vera Polozkova used. In my work I used the following research methods: historical and biographical methods; method of sociological analysis of literature; semantic analysis; comparative method and structuring. In order to complete the study, I selected the poems of Polozkova, in which she speaks about creativity, her place in poetry and about the understanding of poetry, as well as the suggestion of the poet. I chose these works, because it is a kind of poetic manifesto, thanks to him you can create a picture of the poet and his goal and understanding of the world, and compare with other recognized professional’s poets not only of the present, but also of the past. In the end of my research, I am planning to identify what methods Polozkova used to evolve from an amateur poet to a professional poet. Another goal is to clarify the definition of a professional poet and understand differences between poets of different ages. Chapter 1.
