This master’s thesis envisages the existing connection between the federative relationships and the economic policy of Russia. The Constitution of the Russian Federation dated 1993 laid the basis for the development of market relations in the country. Nevertheless, the statutory regulation of the economic sphere continues to demonstrate dynamic development. This fact defines implementation of various approaches and initiatives subject to compliance with main principles. A special role of the state as a main regulator and a major participant of the market relations defines unique features of regulation in this sphere. The analysis of international practice and specifics of normative regulations in the Russian Federation justify the necessity and effectiveness of existence of special economic zones. Individual attention deserves the international activity of subjects. The diversity of regions in Russia and their territorial, social, economic, ethnic and confessional factors determines possibility to pursue flexible international economic policy with exploiting advantages of each region. This work contains analysis of cooperation of the federation and its subjects concerning international foreign economic relations. Moreover, this work contains statistical data demonstrating the influence of the economic policy in certain regions and economic forums. The master’s thesis unites researches on the federative structure and economic development problems to find out the most applicable and effective regulation model to achieve and maintain high temps of economic growth.
