Social Robots in Modern Japanese Society and Economy

Today the contribution of science, innovation and new technologies is crucial for social and economic development, especially in Japan, where innovations plays a significant role. Nowadays Japan on its way to active introduction of social robots in different spheres of human life activity. Moreover, it is believed that robots can solve acute issues in Japan such as — labor shortage and low level of productivity caused by ageing of population. It is considered that robots are able to work as assistants in spheres of service, healthcare and education. Introduction of robots in different spheres of human life actively supported by government of Japan and considered as national strategy for further prosperity of state. Through the historical, document analysis and results of survey we can identify how Japanese society is ready for social robots introduction into different spheres of human life (such as - healthcare, service, household and education), what place do social robots occupy in the economy nowadays and what is the future of social robots in Japan.
