The given work is devoted to various problems of the legal regulation of employment of citizens in the Russian Federation at the present stage. The main goal of the study was to study the actual problems of improving the legal regulation of employment of citizens in the Russian Federation at the present stage. Achieving this goal assumed a consistent solution of the tasks defined in the work, which in addition determined the structure of the work presented. The object of the research was the social relations that are forming in the field of employment of citizens in the Russian Federation at the present stage. The subject of the study was to characterize the norms of the law of the Russian Federation, the practice of applying normative legal acts of the Russian Federation, as well as the materials of judicial practice. The paper describes the legislation regulating the sphere in question in general and unemployed citizens, in particular. A participant in the labor market is disclosed, such as private employment agencies and the legal regulation of their activities. The key issue being addressed was employment promotion measures. The research is characterized by scientific novelty, for a whole series of issues, which are considered in detail in the work and conclusions obtained as a result. The work has theoretical and practical significance. The first is that its provisions are formulated on the basis of an author's analysis of problematic issues of improving the legal regulation of employment of citizens in the Russian Federation at the present stage. The second is reduced to the possibility of using formulated proposals in law enforcement activities, when reading relevant courses in universities. The work is presented in an introduction, four chapters, which include thirteen paragraphs, a conclusion, a list of used literature. The work is executed on 94 pages, includes one drawing and one application. 56 sources are listed in the list of sources used.
