Year of Graduation: 2018

Chicherin's ideas on the noble question are in tune with today's Russian legal reality, and are also important for understanding his contemporary problems, as they are a guide to institutional democratic and socio-psychological transformations. In this study, an attempt is made to solve the following problems: 1) Analyze Chicherin's views on the noble issue and the proposed projects of political and legal reforms; 2) To show the connection between Chicherin's views and the socio-political changes taking place in his time in Russia; 3) Show the influence of Chicherin's views on the discourse on the noble issue in the second half of the XIX century; 4) To determine the interrelation of philosophical, legal and political ideas in Chicherin's views on the noble question. Chicherin considers the nobility as a kind of arbiter between other estates. This high position of the nobility grew out of its possession of large property, freedom and a high degree of awareness of its rights, as well as education and political experience. Thanks to its education and the presence of broad rights, the nobility promotes not only the development of public life, but also confronts the state's claims to individual freedom. Through the nobility, Russia can move away from the exclusive state school of development to Western social history, in which civil society plays a leading role Unfortunately, the topic of the noble question in the works of Chicherin did not receive a deep historical and philosophical study, and therefore requires further study.
