The topic of this research is “The development of a network traffic monitoring and analysis system”. Its main purposes are to study ways to monitor network traffic and to create a solution for monitoring network activity including the automatization of collected data analysis and reports preparing processes. This work consists of an introduction, six main sections and a conclusion, which take 56 pages. It contains 8 figures, 2 tables and 39 literature sources. The first section overviews the network traffic monitoring methods and some modern software solutions that support traffic control. In the second part, the requirements for the system architecture and composition are formulated. The next three sections contain a detailed description of the implementation of the selected solution components: the Agent, Server and Panel subsystems, as well as the databases and functional modules of the developed system. The last, sixth section is devoted to the legal aspects of the implementation of this system in the organization. The implementation of the developed system allows to reduce the risk of data leakage, as well as provides an opportunity to investigate incidents of information security violation in a retrospective. It can also be effective in analyzing and assessing the loyalty of employees of the organization.
