Sustainable economic development not long term economic only but also environmental stability. This can only be achieved through the integration and recognition of economic, environmental, and social issues during the decision-making process by the government. It is widely accepted and acknowledged that the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector is an important factor in promoting and achieving sustainable economic growth and development, and is a major contributor to job creation, innovation and social stability. Street vending as one of SMEs has become a tradition of micro-economic communities and as informal sector in Indonesia because one of the main sights on the street is the existences of street vendors, especially in Jakarta. Due to the fact that street vendor has a role in the informal sector power to the national economy in Jakarta, the authors would like to correlate between Jakarta street vendor statistic data, cases, and interview according to Sustainable Economic Development Assessment (SEDA). It has measures well-being by examining three sectors such as economics, investments and sustainability. The aim of this research is to determine traditions street vending as SMEs during 2014-2017 and it works on qualitative method through case study model of analysis.. The research starts with the definition of sustainability economic development and tradition street vending in general, understanding of SEDA, and analyzed tradition street vending impact for sustainability economic development in Jakarta.
