The visual image of the play plays a key role in the theatrical art and is created through scenery, costumes, lighting and production technology. From these four scenography tools, we'll pay attention to the scenery. Namely, the use of scenery to create a sense of the season in the production of the theater. The main goal of the research is to get acquainted with various scenographic approaches using the images of the seasons, as one of the tools for the design of the play. Thus, in this study, photographs of various theatrical productions are collected, in which the image of the seasons is represented in one way or another. The illustrative series is divided into 5 main categories and is built on the principle of "from the most obvious to the most unusual ways of projecting theatrical scenery aimed at creating an image or feeling a certain season of the year." And also, by "strengthening their effect in the formation of the desired emotional response from the public." 1. Season as the basis of composition; The composition is built around the image of a certain time of the year. 2. Season as a secondary element; The image of the year is present in the composition, but does not play a key role. 3. Season as a symbol; The image of such scenery is expressed abstractly, remotely related to the time of the year in the real world, but gives a clear association to the viewer with winter, spring, summer or autumn. 4. Season as the mood of the scene; The spectator feels the mood and atmosphere of this scene or the whole production, which can be expressed with the help of special color solutions, sometimes without any subject design. 5. Season of the year as a multitasking decoration tool. The image of the season in the scenery of the performance combines several techniques from the categories described above.
