The theme of optical illusions was chosen by me for visual research based on the theme of the diploma - the creation of film art objects. At the moment, film editing is used as a means for visual distortion of space inside the scene, as well as additionally the use of various kinds of effects. I'm interested in what means it is possible to achieve the optical illusion in the frame without the use of video editing. That is why I turn to the topic of optical illusions, to study the classification of optical illusions, to study the use of illusions in design, art and of course in cinema. In the course of work on the visual research several subsections structuring the application of optical illusions were revealed: - section on optical illusions in contemporary art - a section dedicated to optical illusions in the subject design - section on optical illusions in architecture - section on the use of optical illusions in movies In conclusion, I would like to note that optical illusions are little used in movies, as a means of transform space. At the same time, there is a fairly broad base of optical illusions. Most often they can be seen in art. At the moment, they are increasingly being used in installations. As for the use of illusions in design and architecture, there is clearly a lack of functionality, often a search for new forms, although it is worth noting that in some cases it is an attempt to reduce the space occupied by the subject (as in lamps). Based on the developed material, it seemed to me that it would be appropriate to show all possible types of distortion of space through optical illusions to indicate the typology of their application. Therefore, in my future work I will turn to all types of illusions that can distort the space inside the frame.
